The principal of Eenhana Primary School in Ohangwena region, Ms Helena Kangalange is calling for parents and all Namibians to take note that covid-19 is still existing.

This came after four cases of Covid-19 were detected at the aforementioned school, all leaners in grade 6C.

Kangalange mentioned that they first detected one learner who came from the house of infected parents. Later, when the mass test was done in grade 6C the results showed that three learners were positive.

“The situation is under control and we are receiving support from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MOHSS)”, she said.

The school principal indicated that all learners in grade 6C were tested and the first case recovered and is currently resuming with lessons.

“As per MOHSS the other three learners are in home quarantine and are expected to resume with their lessons after seven days”, said Kangalange.

Kangalange indicated that they informed the Director of Education in Ohangwena region and the whole school was disinfected.
